Picture Scavenger Hunt
Setup
The host of this activity needs to prepare a list of about fifteen interesting things, places and circumstances that can be photographed. Some examples of items you can use are:
A flock of Geese
A pond or body of water
A man playing with his dog
A yellow sign A clown or a mime
A group photo with a policeman
A photo with a red car
A school bus
Someone pumping gas
You can be very creative with this list. Be sure to make enough copies for all the team members in this ice breaker.
Instructions
Break the group into teams of about three to five people. Make sure each team has at least one camera. You may also need to make sure at least one person per team has transportation large enough for their team if the objects they will be looking for are not within walking distance. Give out the lists to each team and explain the rules of the team building activity. There should be a time limit set (two hours or so). The teams should try to find as many items on the list within the set time period and take a picture with all the team members in the photo. The more creative the better as they get extra points for this. At the designated time, all teams should be back at the starting point or pre determined area with their pictures ready to share with the rest of the group. Each picture is worth ten points and an additional ten points for creativity. After all photos are shared, tally up the score and see which team is the winner of this ice breaker!!
